Organised by YMCA Europe, the event celebrated 175 years of the founding of the YMCA, providing a unique space for reflection, best practice sharing and action.
In fact YMCA175 is considered as a highlight in the history of the global YMCA movement where a new strategic direction and programmatic priorities were set.
The event positively influenced participants from over 50 countries and hundreds of local and national YMCAs across the world.
YMCA Europe continues to be extremely thankful to all our partners in this outstanding project: World YMCA, YMCA of the USA, the YMCA Urban Network, our hosts YMCA England & Wales and all National movements that provided inspiration, support and resources across Europe and the world. Each of those individuals, partners and stakeholders will always remain in our hearts and we always repeat how blessed we were for their contribution.
Different evaluations were developed during these two years, analysing the impact of YMCA175. These were guided by Jennifer Brooker from George Williams College and shared widely across the movement.
We now share the results of one more survey conducted literally two years after the event.
